In December of last year, Statoil awarded a cleaning and inspection contract to ROSEN for the 28" pipeline "Snøhvit" ("Snow White"), the world's longest subsea multi-phase line.
The 143 km long pipeline runs north of Norway in the Barents Sea (North Atlantic) and was inspected with MFL and SIC.
Among other things, the special challenge of this run was launching the tool at about 400 meters below sea level. This procedure was previously tested at RTRC Lingen.
In June 2012, this project was successfully completed, which the Pigging Products & Services Association reports this month in its newsletter "Pigging Industry News'.
