Career
Robert Hall is The Director of the Office of Railroad, Pipeline and Hazardous Material Investigations at the National Transportation Safety Board.  Robert came to the NTSB form the U.S. Chemical and Hazard Investigation Board where he was an Investigations Supervisor.  Prior to his work at CSB, Mr. Hall worked for the Pipeline and Hazardous Material Safety Administration at the Department of Transportation. He has more than 30 years experience in the design, inspection, and evaluation of hazardous systems, specializing in mechanical integrity and regulatory compliance.  

Mr. Hall has a B.S. Degree in Nuclear Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University and a M.S. Degree in Energy, Resources, and Environment from George Washington University.  He is a registered Professional Engineer in Virginia and Maryland. He is also a member of the ASME B31.4/11 Committee for Hazardous Liquid and Slurry Transportation Pipelines.
