Flow in a pipeline is usually ‘steady’ with minimal interruptions, however abnormal operations occur when it becomes irregular and unpredictable. ROSEN offers fully integrated flow assurance consultancy by modeling steady state and dynamic flow behavior for our customers pipelines.

The primary objective of Flow Assurance is to economically optimize the transport of fluids from the reservoir to the production facility. Corrosion, cleaning and inspection programs require a thorough technical understanding of the thermodynamics and fluid hydraulic behavior in the pipeline from design to normal operating, through decom-missioning scenarios. By better analyzing these factors it is possible to optimize these programs significantly.

The webinar will give a technical overview and present case studies to highlight flow effects on corrosion, inspection, waxing, slugging and wet gas/multiphase. Furthermore, leading industry standard codes like PIPESIM and OLGA will be referenced. The webinar will present and cover the requirements to successfully build and run a flow assurance study and demonstrate the value of the data to support corrosion, cleaning and inspection program.

Your host Ramesh M. Ladwa has over 30 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector. He joined the ROSEN Group to develop the new business for flow assurance and to support integrity services and field operations. His expertise lies in simulation of process and pipeline systems using industry codes like HYSYS, OLGA, PIPESIM. Ramesh holds a first class honor degree in Chemical Engineering from Salford University, Manchester, UK and is a chartered engineer and Fellow of the Institution of Chemical Engineers.
