In January, ROSEN served as sponsor of the 2014 Pipe Tech Americas Summit held in the Woodland's Texas.

In addition to sponsoring the summit, ROSEN hosted an Integrity Management Workshop, led by Markus Ginten, International Service Manager, focusing on the role of in-line inspection technologies as an effective means for meeting the need for verifiable and complete records for vintage pipelines. Specific topics included:

  • An historical summary of the industry occurrences that helped to create the need for complete and correct pipeline records.
  • Overview of pipeline characteristics and identification of essential key parameters affecting pipeline integrity.
  • The role of conventional ILI technologies and their capabilities and limitations.
  • The application of a new ILI sensor technology allowing for the measurement of pipeline material properties.

This was ROSEN's second year to sponsor the summit, and this year's event featured over 200 attendees including over 130 pipeline operators, engineers and maintenance and project experts.
