ROSEN recently attended the American Gas Association (AGA) Operations Conference and Biennial Exhibition in Grapevine, Texas. The event took place in the Gaylord Grapevine Hotel on May 18th – 21st, 2015.
The AGA Operations Conference is the associations largest forum with more than 500 attendees and over 100 technical presentations. The biennial exhibition hosts over 150 vendors serving the natural gas industry.
The conference was the ideal platform for exchange amongst experts and to showcase latest technological advancements and related products and services, while outlining the industry’s future requirements.
Many conference visitors were especially interested in the novel RoMat PGS ILI service offered by the ROSEN Group. They discovered how ROSEN ensures pipeline records to be traceable, verifiable and complete.
From the ROSEN Group in Houston Mr. Christopher De Leon, Manager Products & Services, provided a technical explanation on our Novel ILI Technology to Determine Pipe Grade for MAOP Validation with the world’s first inline inspection service (RoMat PGS), which is capable of continuously identifying and differentiating pipe steel grade of every pipe joint.
Geo-Hazard Identification and Assessment for Gas Pipelines
Also on Thursday afternoon, Dr. Otto Huisman, Global Project Manager, based at the ROSEN Technology & Research Center in Lingen, Germany, highlighted the importance of Geo-Hazard Identification and Assessment for Gas Pipelines on Thursday. In his presentation he focused on the spatial determination of ground instability as well as aggregate geohazard threats along pipelines, using a model which accounts for data dependencies in model inputs.
In conjunction with the conference, the exhibition highlighted the latest products and services available to the pipeline industry. Here, ROSEN booth staff Jeff Harris, Area Management Houston, Mike Joiner, Account Manager Houston and Ray Lewis, Director of Business Development, were happy to inform the visitors about the latest solutions provided by the ROSEN Group.
