The customer’s Integrity Management Plan (IMP) required significant manual calculations to determine corrosion anomaly response times based on ILI results. Furthermore, before any of these calculations could be performed, the ILI pipe tally and the GIS centerline had to be aligned. Resource constraining and time consuming, this process was very inefficient and had led to a significant backlog of processed ILI results.

Our Solution

It was determined that through software customization, ROSEN would provide the customer with an effective process that could be prompted after the delivery of the in-line inspection final report. To do that, ROSEN had to acquire a thorough understanding of the customer’s IMP and GIS structure as well as their internal processes and procedures.

Using in-house knowledge on post-ILI data integration to develop a repeatable process, ROSEN created a semi-automated service that takes the client’s IMP requirements, their GIS information, and the ILI pipe tally to calculate client-specific and industry-recognized anomaly response times. Those are then added to the client’s IMP documentation and transformed into a GIS-compatible format. Thus, all IMP and GIS information is provided within days of the final report being released. Furthermore, all data is easily accessible for further analysis in the future.

Your Benefit

With ROSEN’s help, the customer now does not need to perform the heavy lifting of integrating data or trying to work complicated formulas within spreadsheets. Instead they now spend their valuable time on analyzing the results and making better-informed decisions on matters such as dig planning, mitigation measures, and inspection intervals etc.
