In a Nutshell:
ROSEN’s Competence Club is a network that keeps you connected with experts from the pipeline industry and supports the sharing of skills, knowledge and experience with experts. To recognize and support young pipeliners everywhere, we have created an exclusive package of learning resources to support their competency development. It includes twelve different courses on a wide range of topics and 25 total learning hours.
Competence is key when it comes to managing aging assets. The risks they present to the safety of people and environment are becoming more imminent, and standards and regulations explicitly require that all personnel working on aging assets be competent and qualified in their respective fields of responsibility. ROSEN’s Competence Club is a network that keeps you connected with experts from the pipeline industry and supports the sharing of skills, knowledge and experience with experts.
For personnel working on aging assets it is important to be qualified and competent in their respective fields of responsibility. This poses two challenges for operators:
- First, they must ensure their personnel’s competence. Competence, however, is not merely a certain skill or specific knowledge that can be acquired in a set period of time and tested with an exam. It is a combination of skill, knowledge, and experience, which is acquired over an extended period of time.
Second, they must ensure that their personnel’s competence is demonstrable. This demonstration requires accredited qualifications or certified learning: however, there is a shortage of learning programs that are accredited by a reputable institution.
Meeting the industry’s needs
ROSEN’s training courses, education programs, and qualifications are three components of one evolving system. These components are interconnected by a constant feed-back and feed-forward process: they receive new content and competent trainers, teachers, and mentors, while providing the latest business knowledge and generating capable candidates. This guarantees the system’s continuous improvement.
Personnel gains competence in well-structured learning programs that focus on the acquisition of different skillsets, subject knowledge, and practical experience. Therefore, we provide training courses, more complex education modules, and multi-layered qualifications that are developed by practitioners for practitioners.
Help demonstrating competence
By identifying the needs that derive directly from the oil and gas industry, our experts in various areas of asset management then design learning programs and qualifications accordingly. A qualification panel consisting of independent industry authorities supervises the entire process.
