Pressure Vessel Inspection Service

Minimizing risks as crucial part of the maintenance process

Vessels containing hazardous materials and operating under high pressure play a critical role in any facility. Therefore, to avoid accidents, unplanned downtime, damaged equipment, and injuries, inspection is necessary and mandated by technical authorities in most parts of the world. We support operators with state-of-the-art inspection services and software to minimize the risk and extend the life of the pressure vessel.

In-service (non-intrusive) inspection (NII)

On-stream inspections should be performed regularly at prescribed points in time. Reliable in-service inspection of pressure vessels with state-of-the-art technology minimizes the risk of failure due to damage or corrosion and prepares for downtime if a vessel needs to be taken out of service in the future. In addition, real-time measurements of the condition can be made. Combined with risk-based assessment, this can replace internal inspection and also provides fitness-for-service assessments and degradation rates. Monitoring and improving equipment condition and performance in service not only builds confidence in the integrity of the equipment and optimizes its useful life, but is also more cost-effective than decommissioning the vessel.

Our range of services include:

Out-of-service inspection

Performing inspections at or before the target date provides a better understanding of the condition of the pressure vessel and identifies short and long-term corrosion rates, which can help prevent impacts. In addition, the data indicates whether a pressure vessel is suitable for another use. Remaining service life calculations are also performed.
