Christmas Trees Full of Wishes
Grade school, trainees, and employees of the ROSEN Group fulfill 300 children's wishes and donate 3,500 euros
With 300 children's wishes fulfilled and a donation of 3,500 euros, the ROSEN Group has once again successfully carried out its traditional Christmas campaign this year. For the tenth time, the trainees worked together with the bilingual grade school ROBIGS to give children from the region a happy Christmas. The gifts and donation went to the Youth Welfare Office of the City of Lingen (Ems) and the Catholic Association for Social Services in Lingen (SKM). The handover took place on Wednesday, December 17, at the company's location in Lingen.
"This campaign means a lot to us. It expresses our connection to the region and demonstrates the strength of our shared commitment. Above all, we are delighted that we can bring joy to children together. I would like to thank everyone who took part, from the trainees and the ROBIGS grade school pupils to our employees" said Matthias Westermann, Head of Innovation Center Resourcing of the ROSEN Group, at the ceremonial handover.
Together for a wonderful Christmas
The donation amount consists of the proceeds from the trainees' traditional waffle baking activity and additional donations from employees. ROSEN finally increased the total amount. Through the Youth Welfare Office and the SKM, the money will directly benefit children in the region.
The Christmas campaign has long since become more than just a one-off project—it has developed into a firm tradition. What began ten years ago as a small initiative is now a joint project that brings joy to hundreds of children every year. For the trainees, organizing the campaign is a special experience: they take on responsibility, plan the processes, and see how their commitment makes a real difference.
“It's a great feeling to make a difference together and bring joy to children. It was especially nice to see how many colleagues got involved. It shows how strong we are as a team – that makes us really proud,” says Florian Goerke, a dual student in the field of IT.
Christmas trees full of wishes
The centerpiece of the campaign were the Christmas wish trees, which were scattered around the company premises. The children of ROBIGS made colorful stars, each representing a wish ranging from toys and books to small surprises. Employees took the stars from the trees and fulfilled the wishes.
The handover was warmly accompanied by the ROBIGS pupils. They created a festive atmosphere with Christmas carols and lent a helping hand as the many colourfully wrapped gifts were loaded into the van. The parcels then set off on their journey to arrive in time to be placed under the families' Christmas trees.
