ROSEN Group Expands Global Academic Network

New partnership with Montanuniversität Leoben

Global technology company ROSEN Group is pleased to announce a new industrial partnership with the renowned Austrian university, Montanuniversität Leoben. This collaboration strengthens ROSEN’s commitment to supporting the next generation of pipeline integrity professionals.

As part of the partnership, ROSEN will contribute industry expertise to the university’s postgraduate Pipeline Integrity Program. Designed to connect academic learning with real‑world engineering practice, the program emphasizes innovation, sustainability, and practical application across the energy sector.

The Pipeline Engineering Program provides students with a strong foundation in the design, construction, and operation of pipeline systems that support global energy networks, equipping them to meet the challenges of a rapidly evolving energy landscape.

Founded in 1981, ROSEN operates in more than 110 countries and delivers advanced diagnostic technologies, unique data insights, leading software tools, and specialist engineering consultancy. Through this partnership, postgraduate students gain valuable exposure to real‑world integrity challenges and cutting‑edge engineering approaches, supported by ROSEN’s commitment to knowledge transfer through expert lectures, technical talks, curriculum input, and more.

Michelle Unger, Vice President Strategic Industry Engagement at ROSEN, commented: “We are delighted to expand our partnerships with this key European institution. This collaboration reflects our commitment to the pipeline industry — supporting students as they prepare for the challenges of a rapidly shifting sector, while also enabling our engineers to contribute directly to education by sharing their invaluable expertise with future leaders of the energy industry. We are proud to support this positive force for regional growth and look forward to the opportunities our five‑year partnership will create.”

Dr. Riyaz Kharrat MSc. PhD, Program Coordinator for the Pipeline Engineering Program at Montanuniversität Leoben, commented: “This program is designed to prepare engineers and decision-makers for the challenges of a rapidly evolving energy landscape. The module topics and course contents have been carefully developed by experienced industry professionals and academic experts, with a strong focus on practical competence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and real-world problem solving.”

ROSEN continues to strengthen its global support for the industry by partnering with leading universities to deliver advanced education, practical training, and real‑world engineering insight. These collaborations, spanning institutions such as the University of British Columbia’s Pipeline Integrity Institute, Kazakh‑British Technical University, Oklahoma State University, to name a few, reflect ROSEN’s commitment to responsible industry guardianship. By investing in talent development and knowledge transfer, ROSEN helps build a safer, more sustainable energy future while preparing the next generation of pipeline integrity specialists.
