ROSEN strengthens its presence in Argentina with a new base in Vaca Muerta
With nearly 30 years of presence in the country and more than 130,000 kilometers of pipelines inspected in Argentina over the past 15 years, ROSEN is expanding its local operations with technological capabilities and regional teams to continue supporting the development of the energy industry.
ROSEN Group, a global company dedicated to protecting critical assets, is strengthening its presence in Argentina with a new operational office in Neuquén. The opening supports the expansion of energy activity in the province, driven mainly by Vaca Muerta, and the infrastructure required to transport increasing oil and gas production.
With the mission of being closer to its customers, ROSEN is reinforcing its response capacity to meet inspection and integrity management needs in the region, positioning itself at the epicenter of the country’s hydrocarbon activity. The company offers a comprehensive portfolio that includes inspection, engineering, software, research and development, and solutions for the oil and gas, mining, and new energy industries. With tools, equipment, and specialists assigned regionally, this new operational base adds greater agility and efficiency to respond to the requirements of each project.
“Argentina is undergoing a paradigm shift in energy, moving from being an energy-importing country to becoming an exporter. The opening of our office in Neuquén is an important step in consolidating our presence both in the country and in the region, with the aim of supporting the industry’s evolution toward 2030. ROSEN is a company with growth in its DNA, and that growth is based on innovation and technology, while always staying close to its customers. The integration of technology and human knowledge generates very powerful results,” says Eduardo Soria, Senior Vice President for ROSEN Group South America.
ROSEN has been present in Argentina since 1997 and works with the leading companies in the oil and gas sector. The local operation has its own workshop and the largest fleet in the country of tools equipped with the latest technologies for asset inspection. Over the past 15 years, ROSEN has inspected more than 130,000 kilometers of pipelines. The company also has integrity engineers based in the region.
The development of Vaca Muerta and the expansion and modernization of hydrocarbon transportation infrastructure create new needs for advanced inspection, integrity verification, and predictive analysis. In a context where energy production growth is of strategic importance for the country, ROSEN supports this process with its regional leadership and technological capabilities to help ensure that this growth takes place safely, sustainably, and in line with international standards.
“The opening of our office in Neuquén represents a natural step in ROSEN’s evolution in Argentina. Being present at the heart of energy activity allows us to work closer to our customers, respond more agilely to their needs, and support them in managing the integrity of their critical infrastructure. Both new developments and existing assets today face increasingly complex challenges, and our goal is to provide technology, knowledge, and experience so they can operate safely, efficiently, and sustainably,” says Agustín Giai Levra, Country Manager of ROSEN Argentina.
Technology for data-driven integrity management
With 45 years of experience, more than 4,000 employees, and a presence in 110 countries, ROSEN incorporates digital capabilities and artificial intelligence to develop predictive integrity analyses and provide more accurate information for decision-making. Among these solutions is Data Fusion MFL, which, by merging axial and circumferential MFL signal data, converts raw data into high-resolution 3D profiles, replacing subjectivity with precision. This innovation improves pipeline assessments, reducing costs and enhancing safety.
Under the “Think globally, act locally” approach, the new Neuquén office is integrated into ROSEN’s regional structure, with presence in Buenos Aires, Bogotá, and Rio de Janeiro. This model combines global capabilities and technology with knowledge of local markets and regional resources to closely support operators’ needs and respond with greater agility to industry challenges.
