The Solution

ROSEN’s hard spot service, RoMat DMG, provides operators with a proven solution for the accurate and precise detection, classification and sizing of internal and external hard spots along the entire pipeline. Unique in the market, this In-line Inspection (ILI) system combines a well-established axial Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) technology with Eddy Current (EC) in a dual magnetization approach to deliver reliable information on the following:

  • Hard-spot location and dimensions
  • Base hardness of the pipe body
  • Absolute hardness of hard spots
