Experts from all disciplines work at our locations in Germany, especially in the research & development and manufacturing of cutting-edge technologies and in supporting the entire group as the 'technology pool'. The location in Lingen (Ems) is the ROSEN Group’s oldest location and – with more than 1500 employees – also the largest. Disciplines hosted in Germany include but are not limited to: electronics and sensor manufacturing, manufacturing for batteries and plastics, tool construction, data science and AI, software development, testing, and general research & development.

At our locations in Germany, experts work in the development and manufacturing of cutting-edge technologies designed to protect people and the environment and in supporting the entire ROSEN Group in all technological aspects.
Executing ideas with individual and line manufacturing
We manufacture more than 90% of all components for our inspection equipment ourselves. In our mechanical manufacturing facilities in Lingen (Ems), we mill materials like metal and composites. We use milling machines for individual manufacturing as well as several fully automated milling systems. In sensor and electronics manufacturing, we also use a fully automated manufacturing line that assembles circuit boards with up to 16,000 electronic components per hour and then checks their quality. This is where we implement the intelligent networking idea of Industry 4.0 — linking people, machines, and logistics.
Operational Hub
We provide operational expertise, ILI tool maintenance and integrity services as well as knowledge transfer and support to various regions and departments within the ROSEN Group. Our in-house expertise forms the basis for the provision of strategic services and the development of new services that can be rolled out to the regions, while ensuring that operational knowledge is fed back into our development department. We additionally perform data analysis, field data validation and pipeline integrity assessments to provide clarity on risks so that complex integrity management decisions can be made for each asset.
Testing capabilities in Germany
We have established facilities globally to deliver a wide range of routine and customized testing services. In Lingen (Ems), we bundled various capabilities:
- Test center and yard for tests with customer involvement
- Verification and validation of products and services
- Preparation of customer-specific installations and associated inspection systems
- Testing to fulfill qualitative market and our own requirements
- Hydrogen testing laboratory
- Development-related testing
Committed to the region
“Giving back to the community” is an important part of ROSEN’s business strategy. Since 2010, we have trained around 100 young people in ten different occupations and six work-study programs. Over the last few years, we have greatly expanded our locations in Germany and invested millions in buildings and infrastructure – mainly with regional partners.

The ROSEN Technology and Research Center (RTRC) in Stutensee serves as a competence center offering direct support to the RTRC in Lingen (Ems). The competence center in Stutensee collaborates closely with the RTRC in Lingen (Ems) to address new technology challenges as they arise. The RTRC supports the entire ROSEN Group by developing and implementing new technologies in response to client requests.
